Luigi Massoni

Luigi Massoni was born in Milan in 1930. He worked in Cermenate, a commune in Italy. In 1954 he started his career as the president and head of architecture and industrial design for A&D where he would work until 1972. In 1959 he joined a partnership with a group of furniture manufacturers. Massoni also became the organizer of the Mobilia foundation and in the same year he joined Boffi as a production coordinator and designer, working on modular systems for the home and kitchen.

He did relatively similar work with various other Italian industries, operating in furnishing sectors such as plastic materials, ceramics, glass and crystal, metals, leather goods, household goods and gift items.

Throughout his career, he worked with famous names in Italian architecture. His clients included major companies such as Poltrona Frau, Fratelli Guzzini, Nazareno Gabrielli and Gallotti & Radice. He also worked as an editor and designer for Forme magazine since 1962.

Luigi Massoni has become a major name in the industry, winning numerous awards and gaining worldwide recognition. Today, Massoni lives in Recanati and since 2001 he has collaborated with studio 967 Architetti Associati, handling projects for Poltrona Frau, Fratelli Guzzini and Upper.
