Being a design connoisseur, it’s always incredible exhilarating to be able to see inside of the homes of collectors. You never know what you might find, a super rare space age gem, an original Basquiat painting, a set of Jean Royère works or maybe an installation by Donald Judd. Take a look at our curated picks of some of the finest collections.
Inside the NYC apartment of Ronnie Sassoon and James Crump.
Works of art by Lucio Fontana and Enrico Castellani are featured in the living room and kitchen. In the living area, leather ‘Soriana’ sofas by Afra & Tobia Scarpa are staged around a coffee table by Willy Rizzo and side tables by Vico Magistretti. Another living space also is made up of ‘Soriana’ lounge chairs and a Mario Bellini Coffee Table. In the dining area is an Angelo Mangiarotti table surrounded by ‘Africa’ chairs by Afra & Tobia Scarpa.
One of the bedrooms features a Gae Aulenti ‘Tennis’ bed which sits next to a Joe Colombo ‘Elda’ chair. Another bedroom has one of the most iconic designs. the Boomerang desk by Maurice Calka.

The Rome apartment of architects Patrizio Paris & Patricia Pietrogrande, 1983🥤🚬
The living room features the Malitte seating system by Roberto Matta and a custom Marlboro coffee table. The dining area boasts an Eero Saarinen Tulip dining table, custom Campbells soup stools and a vintage ‘Balla’ screen by Giacomo Balla. The bedroom features Cini Boeri side tables, an Achille Castiglioni table lamp and an LC4 chaise by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret.

Inside the home of art collector, Maja Hoffmann. This living space featrues artworks by Jeff Koons’ , his painting ’Hole II’ (2008) is hung beside Damien Hirst’s medicine cabinet ’The Ivy’ (1997-98). The armchairs, sofa, dining chairs, and coffee table are all by famous artist Jean Royère. The dining table by Jean Prouvé. Interior design by India Mahdavi.
The vibrant Milan apartment of Paolo Castellarin & Didier Bonnin ❤️🔥. This beautiful bold space features Marcel Breuer ‘Wassily’ chairs, decor by Piero Fornasetti, a ‘Tulip’ table by Eero Saarinen and an ‘Arco’ floor lamp by Achille Castiglioni. In the dining room you’ll find another ‘Tulip’ table by Eero Saarinen, Eames dining chairs a chandelier by Ron Gilad and a Gufram cactus. The kitchen showcases a Snoopy lamp by Achille Castiglioni and more decor by Piero Fornasetti. In the bedroom is a ‘Cocoon’ pendant by Achille Castiglioni and Piero Fornasetti throw pillows. In the study you’ll find an LC4 chaise by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret. You can also see an Ettore Sottsass table lamp and a Charlotte Perriand revolving armchair tucked underneath the desk.

Featuring quite the collection by Pierre Paulin, including his ‘Big C’ sofas, an ‘Elysee’ shelving unit, a ‘Rosace’ coffee table, ‘Mushroom’ pouffs, ‘Tulip’ dining chairs and his M101 chandelier. You can also see a Yrjö Kukkapuro ‘Karuselli’ lounge chair and ottoman in the living room.

Colin King’s Brooklyn Heights apartment. The living room features a ‘Le Bambole’ sofa by Mario Bellini, an Isamu Noguchi Akari BB3-33S floor lamp and a Carl Auböck side table.
On the opposite side of the living room is a 1960s Pierre Jeanneret ‘Kangaroo’ chair and a Charlotte Perriand ‘Berger’ stool beside a Gerrit Rietveld ‘Utrecht’ armchair from Cassina.

Inside the Los Angeles Home of Giampiero Tagliaferri. The first living space features an Oscar Niemeyer ‘Alta’ lounge chair and ottoman, a ‘Ciuingam’ sofa by De Pas, D’Urbino & Lomazzi, a ‘Ribbon’ chair by Cesare Leonardi & Franca Stagi, and a Jean Claude Dresse cocktail table. The large glass lamp on the side table is a vintage Sergio Mazza design.
The second living area is outfitted with a Joe Colombo ‘Elda’ chair, Luigi Colani sofas and lounge, a Gae Aulenti ‘Jumbo’ cocktail table, Ricardo Fasanello circular chairs, and Adam Sirak concrete planters.
Lastly, the kitchen corner showcases a ‘Lesbo’ lamp by Angelo Mangiarotti.
